 The Law of Ueki menceritakan tentang Pertarungan Kekuatan Supranatural, sebuah turnamen untuk menentukan siapa yang akan menjadi Dewa (tenkaijin (天界人)) selanjutnya. Setiap Calon Dewa (ada 100 orang) wajib memilih seorang murid SMP untuk menjadi petarungnya.
